AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 248 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “THE REVISED TRAFFIC CODE FOR ZAMBOANGA CITY”, AS AMENDED

Zamboanga City is increasing traffic fines, towing charges, and storage fees to catch more traffic violators and keep roads clear. Traffic enforcers are now also allowed to lock the wheels of illegally parked cars until fines are paid.

SECTION 1 - ADMINISTRATIVE FINE
Increases fines for common traffic violations like illegal parking, jaywalking, and driving without a license, and allows the LTO to blacklist violators who don't pay within 3 days.
SECTION 2 - TOWING SERVICE AND STORAGE FEE, RATES OF
Sets higher towing and daily storage fees for light, medium, and heavy vehicles that get towed.
SECTION 3 - USE OF WHEEL CLAMPS AND REMOVAL OF ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES
Allows traffic enforcers to put wheel locks on illegally parked vehicles and outlines the fees to remove them or tow them away.
