The Local Government of Zamboanga City
Sangguniang Panlungsod & Office of the City Secretary
Official Legislative Custodians
We extend our utmost gratitude to the Sangguniang Panlungsod (City Council) of Zamboanga City and the Office of the City Secretary. Their dedicated work in enacting, preserving, and archiving municipal ordinances provides the official foundation for local governance.
Civic Tech Inspiration: BatasKo
BatasKo
Democratizing Philippine Law
Special recognition goes to BatasKo. BatasKo translates complex Philippine national laws into simple, human language — in both English and Filipino — so citizens can understand their legal protections before they need them.
Their pioneering vision directly inspired Ley de Zamboanga's plain-language ELI5 (Explain Like I'm 5) summaries, penalty schedules, and citizen-first UI design for municipal legislation.
Mayor Portraits & Archives: Aviso Zamboanga
Aviso Zamboanga
Historical Media & Archival Curation
We gratefully acknowledge Aviso Zamboanga for preserving and curating the historical portrait collection of the Mayors of Zamboanga City. Their archival work provides a vital visual chronicle of our city's executive leadership across generations.
Please note that several historical mayoral portraits were processed using modern AI image enhancement and upscaling techniques. This digital restoration was conducted exclusively to improve visual clarity, repair aged/faded physical photo artifacts, and render high-definition portraits for modern screens while remaining faithful to the original historical source photography.

To the Citizens of Zamboanga
Our deepest appreciation goes to the early users — the everyday citizens, students, lawyers, business owners, and barangay leaders of Zamboanga City who use this site, report typos, and share feedback.
"Ultimately, this platform belongs to the Zamboangueños."
Ley de Zamboanga was designed and coded in Zamboanga City by Ralph Chester "Chex" M. Candido. It is hosted on Vercel, set in the Public Sans typeface, and proudly maintained for the public.
